Trip to Ireland and France,
November 2002
Part 4: Wexford
The weather on our trip south was typically Irish - lots of clouds, a bit of rain and a bit of sun. I took a slight detour to pass Aughnagally House. It looked the same as ever, but several of the hedgerows had been removed in order to create a single, larger field. The land seemed barer and less interesting.
The most notable change since my last visit was in the condition of the road from Dublin to Wexford. A new bypass around Arklow had just been opened. This large (by Irish standards) four-lane highway cut perhaps 15 minutes off the trip.
More to come.
